I have the best job in the world: I get to direct and teach in the MFA program at Chatham University in Pittsburgh! Inspired by Chatham alumna, author and environmentalist, Rachel Carson, we are interested in the ways in which humans intersect and interact with the natural and built environment. We teach students that writing is a public act that can affect powerful change in the world. Our community is rigorous, supportive and inclusive. We welcome writers from any background and identity to a shared space where they can be wholly themselves.
