Mixed Media Collage

In some ways, my visual art journey began with collage and assemblage. When my children were small, we would have “Family Art Night” where I’d bring out my growing collection of tools and ephemera and we’d all sit down together with paint and doodads and a lot of glue. I rediscovered this process a few years ago and found that I am still so drawn to the idea of creating textures and layers of image and buried narrative for viewers to explore. I have not done much assemblage art in recent years, but there’s always a pull.
