Okay, so I actually pulled this particular ingredient from the mixing bowl LAST week, but last week, we were broke, and frankly could not afford to cook with….
Saffron.
The costliest spice in the known world!
Susan’s family is vegetarian, so I am going to bring you at least one non-meat meal this week, possibly even more. I’m curious myself as to how this is going to go, because I’ve never personally cooked with saffron before. Exciting!
